SUPPORT

YOUR

COMMUNITY

To assist displaced individuals & families affected by conflict & tragedy.

With our Volunteers we encourage the community with proactive opportunities, showing kindness and compassion at every stage.

In 2022, Amanda Baxter began by packing simple shoe boxes filled with essential items, sending them to Ukrainian facilities with care and compassion.

Driven by a deep commitment to help, she even travelled to Ukraine herself. What started as a small act of kindness quickly grew into something extraordinary.

To date, Boxes of Hope has delivered 28 eighteen-tonne lorries of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, each one filled with vital supplies and the generosity of the community.

Today, Boxes of Hope continues to support families across Lincolnshire, providing practical help and well-being support to those facing hardship, crisis, homelessness, domestic abuse, and loss.

Providing Support, Stability and Essentials for Those Experiencing Homelessness

Homelessness can happen to anyone. A change in circumstances, loss of income, relationship breakdown, domestic abuse or unexpected crisis can quickly lead to people finding themselves without a safe and stable place to call home.

Across Lincolnshire, homelessness and rough sleeping remain a growing and complex issue. While it is difficult to capture the full picture, particularly for those who are sofa-surfing or in temporary situations, recent reports highlight the scale of need across the county.

Latest 2026 data shows homelessness rising across England, with local services in Lincolnshire under increasing pressure and demand now above pre-pandemic levels. Many more are hidden in temporary housing, unsafe homes, or with nowhere secure to go.

The annual Rough Sleeping Snapshot for Autumn 2025 reveals that an estimated 4,793 people were sleeping rough on a single night across England— the highest level recorded since the counting method began in 2010 and up around 3% on the previous year.

Needing support with food can happen to anyone, a sudden change, unexpected costs, or difficult circumstances can quickly make things overwhelming. Reaching out is not a failure; it’s a step towards stability.

At Boxes of Hope, we are here to support you with dignity, care, and practical help when you need it most. We can provide you with a referral to local organisations that can help, such as Holbeach Community Larder & Store.

Holbeach Community Larder & Store

A local independent food bank supporting anyone in Holbeach, Fleet, Whaplode, Moulton villages and the many outlying villages.

Community Store

We now operate a Community Store where members are able to shop at heavily discounted prices. Low cost annual membership will initially be available to a maximum of 100 people who will be issued with a membership card and will then be able to use it at the Store for a fixed price monthly shop.

If the Store proves successful and we have sufficient resources (particularly volunteers) then we will look to open it up to as many members as possible. We are aware that there are a lot of local people who need help but miss out, especially older people.

For information on how to become a member call in during our opening hours or email info@holbeachcommunitylarder.org.uk

It’s ok to ask for help with food.

Our Community Allotment: Fresh Produce, Connection and Care.

We’re so proud to see the hard work of the Community Allotment turn into something that will make a real difference for families across our community. Fresh, nutritious food is more than just fuel, it’s dignity, health, and hope.

For families facing hardship, having access to fresh produce can ease financial pressures, improve wellbeing, and bring people together around the table.

Hardship can happen to anyone, and the Community Larder is here to ensure no one has to face it alone. By offering affordable and accessible food, it helps families stretch their budgets while still enjoying the benefits of fresh, wholesome meals.

This is just the beginning, and we would love more of our community to get involved, whether that’s through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can grow not just food, but stronger roots of support and kindness in Holbeach.

Domestic Abuse: providing support.

1 in 4 women & 1 in 5 men are affected by domestic abuse.

Leaving is the most dangerous time.

Domestic abuse is one of the leading reasons people are forced into homelessness.

Holly’s Law

Annette Bramley “Our daughter, Holly Bramley, was taken from us in the most horrific circumstances. She fell victim to a man who had a history of violence against both former partners and animals. Her husband — a man routinely known to cause harm to and kill the family pets— eventually escalated his actions to take Holly’s life.

We, as Holly's loved ones, wish for Holly's death to catalyse much-needed change.

In memory of Holly, we propose the establishment of "Holly's Law" — a nationwide animal cruelty registry that lists individuals known to harming or kill animals. Every year, thousands of animals are brutally maimed or killed and, all too often, these despicable acts are committed by individuals who go on to become involved in incidents of domestic violence or murder.”

Amazing, brave and just inspirational.

Accompanied Annette and Phyllis this morning for their invitation to the sofa with ITV Good Morning Britain team Kate and Navir.

Armed with a clipboard Boxes of Hope, Managing Director, AMANDA Baxter managed to get more signatures and shares.. Well done to you both and our Crafty Bees got a mention on national tv!!
